Question 1

Do I need an account to read prayers, saints or the calendar?

Accepted Answer

No. The prayers, saint biographies, feast days, liturgical calendar and Catholic names are free to read with no account, no subscription and no email address required.

Question 2

How is the saint and feast day for “today” chosen?

Accepted Answer

It is worked out from the liturgical calendar for the current date rather than stored as a fixed page, so the day you see always matches the day it is. Dates follow the Eastern (America/New_York) liturgical day. You can also view any single day at a web address such as /church-year/2026-12-25.

Question 3

Which liturgical calendar do you follow?

Accepted Answer

The general Roman calendar as observed in the United States, including the memorials proper to the dioceses of the United States. Where a local parish or diocese keeps its own celebration, your parish calendar takes precedence over ours.

Question 4

Can I print a prayer or share one with someone?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Prayer pages are written out in full so they print cleanly, and you are welcome to share or copy the text for personal, parish or family use.

Question 5

Where does your content come from?

Accepted Answer

Saint lives, feast dates and prayer texts are drawn from traditional Catholic sources and the liturgical calendar, and are reviewed before publication. We do not invent prayers, quotations, dates, patronages or historical details.

Question 6

I found a mistake. How do I report it?

Accepted Answer

Please write to us through the contact page with the page address and what looks wrong. Corrections to a date, a patronage, a prayer text or a saint’s life are genuinely welcome and we will fix them.

Question 7

Are you affiliated with a parish, diocese or the Vatican?

Accepted Answer

No. American Catholic is a private, Catholic-owned family business. Nothing here carries official Church approval, and we never imply an endorsement we do not have.

Question 8

How do orders and payment work?

Accepted Answer

Checkout is handled by our store platform over a secure connection. You will get an order confirmation by email as soon as the order is placed.

Question 9

When will my order arrive?

Accepted Answer

Delivery depends on the item and where it is shipping. The shipping options and estimates for your order appear at checkout, and your confirmation email includes tracking once the order ships.

Question 10

Something arrived damaged or wrong — what now?

Accepted Answer

Contact us with your order number and a photo and we will make it right. Please get in touch before returning anything so we can tell you where to send it.

Question 11

Do you have a gift guide for Baptism, First Communion or Confirmation?

Accepted Answer

Yes — our gift guides group gifts by the occasion they are given for, with a short explanation of the tradition behind each one.

Question 12

What do I get if I sign up for emails?

Accepted Answer

You can choose what you receive — the saint of the day, seasonal feast day reminders, or occasional guides. We do not add you to anything you did not ask for, and every email has an unsubscribe link.

Question 13

How do you handle my information?

Accepted Answer

We use your email only to send what you asked for and your order details only to fulfil your order. We do not sell your information. You can ask us to delete your details at any time through the contact page.
