    About us

    About American Catholic

Faith for everyday life — saints, prayers, the Church year, and gifts made for Catholic families.

American Catholic is a Catholic-owned family business. We make two things: a daily companion for Catholic life, and gifts worth keeping for the moments that mark it.

Most of what we publish is free and always will be. You do not need an account, a subscription or an email address to read a saint’s life, pray the Rosary, look up a feast day or find out what the Church is keeping today. The shop exists so the rest of the site can stay open.

    What you’ll find here

The day the Church is keeping

Season, feast, saint, Scripture and a short prayer — drawn from the liturgical calendar for the current date, never a stored page from last year.

Saints you can actually get to know

Lives, feast days and patronages for the saints the Church remembers, with a traditional prayer where one exists.

    Prayers written out in full

The Rosary, the Divine Mercy Chaplet, the Stations of the Cross, an examination of conscience, and prayers for ordinary days — complete texts, no sign-up.

Gifts for the moments that matter

Apparel and gifts for Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation and everyday Catholic life. Shopping supports the resources; it never interrupts them.

    How we handle Catholic content

    • Feast days, liturgical seasons and colours come from the calendar for the current date, so the site never presents an old day as today.
    • We do not invent prayers, quotations, feast dates, patronages or historical details. Where a detail is devotional tradition or local custom rather than the Church’s liturgical record, we say so.
    • We are a private family business. We do not speak for a parish, a diocese, an episcopal conference or the Holy See, and we never imply their endorsement.
    • If you spot something wrong, please tell us — corrections to a saint’s life, a date or a prayer text are welcome and we will fix them.

    Say hello

Questions about an order, a correction, or an idea for something we should cover — we read everything that comes in.
